Obama's approval ratings stabilize in latest poll

Democratic Party Maintains Favorability Edge Over GOP

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Americans continue to see the Democratic and Republican parties unfavorably, as a year marred by high-profile policy failures for both parties comes to a close. The Republican Party's favorability has improved slightly to 32% from an all-time low of 28% in October during the government shutdown, while 61% now view the GOP unfavorably. The Democratic Party -- on the defensive recently for the flawed rollout of the healthcare website -- maintains a favorable rating of 42%. But a majority of Americans, 53%, now see the party unfavorably, up from 49% in October.

Good Lord.

Barry doesn't care about his poll numbers. Hell. He's not running for office again. He could care less what folks think of his shitty job as POTUS.

The ratings bump is explainable. Just a reflection of liberal white women whose hopes have been boosted by the photos of Barry toying with the blonde babe.

More than likely these are daughters of the women who ran out to buy knee-pads after the Monica Lewinsky story broke.

Ain't that something?

He's chumming it up with the leaders of two foreign nations that you folks say he's pissing off.

Like a true Irishman, no less!

the only one he was pissing off was the mrs

it did not take her long to separate the two

Obama's approval ratings stabilize in latest poll - latimes.com

WASHINGTON -- President Obama can’t yet claim to have turned a corner, but he does seem to have stopped a politically damaging slide in public approval for himself and his new healthcare law, new polling data indicate.

After seven months of steady decline, public approval of Obama’s job performance has ticked upward, according to a new Pew Research Center survey. The poll finds 45% of Americans approve of Obama’s work and 49% disapprove.

That’s the highest approval and closest margin since mid-summer, when the president’s ratings first turned negative. Obama’s low point came last month as the administration struggled to fix the HealthCare.gov website and placate Americans who had discovered, contrary to his promise, that their insurance policies were being canceled.

The problems of the last year – including the stalemate or defeat of major legislation on gun control and immigration, the standoff over the budget and the bungled rollout of the Affordable Care Act – have all taken a toll on how the public sees Obama. The percentage of those who say he is “not able to get things done” has risen steadily from a little more than one-third in the spring to just over half in the latest survey, which was conducted Tuesday through Sunday for USA Today.

But several factors continue to buoy the president, most notably the deep unpopularity of his opponents.

Well, that's certainly damning with faint praise! "Oh, sure; he sucks. But they suck worse!"

Predictions were, once the ACA website and other forms of enrollment were back on track, his approval ratings would get closer to normal for him. There are also predictions that when his approval ratings normalize, ACA will be seen as a real solution to the Healthcare crisis in America and it will have an impact on the mid term elections.

Imo, the governors who didn't take the Medicaid Expansiion are going to have trouble when they are up for reelection and it will also impact their Senators and House. That Medicaid money could have really helped all of them but they were far too emotional to see it.

I don't have a link and don't have time to look stuff up today so just call all of it my opinion.

Impact on employer health from Obamacare will eat your lunch over the next few months.

lol, will that overshadow the ongoing impeachment of the president over the IRS and Benghazi,

since I'm sure that rightwing prediction will be in full swing by then won't it?
