Obama says $1 billion will be raised by the $100/ flight:
The fee on corporate jets and other private passenger planes, for example, would raise about $1 billion a year to help finance the cost of air traffic control.

OK let's figure that out if it is possible!

There are a total of 11,000 corporate jets world wide with the majority in the USA.
Using 9,000 jets how many trips per day needed to generate $1 billion?
A) $100/trip divided into $1 billion is 10 million trips.
B) that's 1,111 trips/year/jet or 4 per day in a 5 day week.
C) At 1,000/trip and 400/mph that equals 10 hours/day in the air.
An impossibility as :
Given that your average corporate jet doesn't fly more then 250 hours per year

A private jet can fly between 800 and 1,000 hours year.

So Obama's "simple math" maybe hard to get $1 billion a year as it would require
the average jet to fly 2,777 hours! nearly double what they do now!!!

Again.. big numbers are NOT Obama's Forte!
