Why did Trump make this "accusation"? Might have been because it was Kumala's constantly-repeated position... until three minutes ago, when she realized Pennsylvania is a state she needs to win.

“When she ran for president the first time, Kamala Harris darted to the left as she fought for attention from the Democratic Party's liberal wing.
After she dropped out, social and racial justice protests swept across the country in the summer of 2020, and Ms. Harris joined other Democrats in supporting progressive ideas during what appeared to be a national realignment on criminal justice.

One presidential cycle later, with Vice President Harris less than a week into another race for the White House, video clips of her old statements and interviews are being weaponized as Republicans aim to define her as a left-wing radical who is out of step with swing voters.”

CNN:

“Vice President Kamala Harris voiced support for "defund the police" in a radio interview in June 2020 amidst nationwide protests for police reform, just months before denouncing the movement after she had joined the Biden presidential campaign.”

Ben Shapiro @benshapiro Positions on which Kamala Harris has supposedly reversed herself:
Banning fracking ❌
Assault weapons mandatory buyback ❌
Ending private health insurance ❌
Decriminalizing illegal border crossings ❌
Bailing out rioters ❌
Defunding the police ❌
Jailing marijuana offenders ❌

This list goes on. She's a liar.

Looks like she is getting a dose of political reality, and now knows, being absolutely against fracking will not fly. Oil is big business and about our biggest export, and fracking is a large part of it's productivity. States need to decide on fracking and regulation of it, within their states, as it doesn't simple support their state, but can have huge effects on their state, such as pollution, and even earthquakes, but that has to be the decision of the elected officials within a given state.

She stands for nothing except power and control.

Kamala pointed out why he is going to be "lock him up."

And Trump does not? Are you shitting me? You are just pissed as she is not running, based on being against fracking, which is a logical political stance. You are part of the same idiots that thought Biden and Harris were going to end fossil fuel, while instead, we became the largest producer on the planet, with that administration opening some of the largest expansions of project (even on public lands) in decades, far more than Trump ever did and with greater sustained output. You do not seem to grasp that industry or the historic profits and output they have achieved during the Biden/Harris administration. All this, and we got to keep the Arctic Wildlife Preserve, too. No matter what you think, (and you think too much, as you seem to understand too little), the Biden/Harris administration has been good for that industry, it's output and supporting record exports, so she will not kill the golden goose, no matter if you need her to, or not.

Trump doesn’t change his positions with the breeze. He’s running on the same issues he did 8 years ago.

He has got a few more, now, like starting a trade war, with the intent of using tariffs paid by the Americans that buy good, paying enough more to do away with income taxes. He wants to gut civil service and keep the vast majority of Federal jobs for trumpers, loyal only to him. Democrats need not apply. He told Christians last week, if they pull him through this one, they won't have to worry about voting, ever again. So he can declare a national emergency and do away with national elections, and the bought and paid for Supreme Courts, says he cannot even be prosecuted, if he does.

So, count on it. He will lose and lose big, as people are not willing to give up our representative democracy for the likes of that piece of shit. Nothing person. He just isn't worth the damage to our country or the world, as he only supports strongman autocratic governments instead of traditional US allies and representative democracies.

Oh didn't you get the word from the Harris campaign? She does not believe that anymore. Anyone buying that stand on your head.

News flash. Regardless of increased oil output during Biden/Harris administration we still need to import oil products to meet demand. Trump wants us completely energy independent thus, "Drill Baby Drill".

The only caveat to all of this is our lack of refining capacity for certain grades of oil, so we export it and import refined petroleum products from countries that have that capacity. We need to build more refineries, something neither party is addressing.

Oh, yes. With record production and record profits, lets see if we can use up all of our reserves now.

When oil was cheap we were happy to import it and keep our own in reserve. Now that the price is high we need to sell it on the global market. We need more equity in our economy.

Not possible to offset what other oil producing countries are holding back (successfully keeping the price high), as we are significantly above our previous production and many of theirs. True, our oil corporations would make even faster higher profits, but is it in our interests, since it still cannot level the market to the "glut" position, that would significantly lower the price. Of course, that would mean Saudi and Russia would have to return to their production of 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. But if profits are up 25% above those years, with production cuts equalling 15% to 20%, just what would influence them to return to higher productivity and lower profit, that would result from another glut on the market, depressing the value of what they produce? Sure, it would be a great deal, and benefit to us and the free world, but what would make them want to do it? If we could make up the world production shortfall, and singularly produce a glut on the market, to lower world prices, it would also significantly cut into the profit margin per barrel of the oil producing corporations here, also. Most companies, in the free market (if there really is a free market), try to maximize return on investment. What you and the misinformed trumpians desire, is not in the best business interests of the industry you want to do it for you.

Fair points, but we can't continue with high energy costs as they affect the price of everything. I think we need to be able to refine our own oil. This would reduce our dependence on foreign refineries and lower the cost of refined products.

Well, if you look at the other major oil producing countries, they are generally no pro-democracy. I am not sure they are interested in leveling the price of oil below average current levels.

Considering that historically fuel prices were always lower close to the refineries perhaps if we built more refineries.

I am in favor of more refineries. I do not know if the oil companies are pushing for that or not.

They're not and Congress won't let permits. So, we're pretty much screwed.
