More than three years ago, the Buffalo Fire Department suffered it's latest LODD incident when FF Jason Arno of Engine 2 was tragically killed in a four alarm fire in Downtown Buffalo, NY. The New York State followup investigation revealed major communication breakdowns and missteps by the incident commanders on scene. Arno's widow has filed suit against the City of Buffalo and the BFD.
Well, Buffalo had better get its checkbook ready as settlements will be likely as a result.
