I noticed Musk's AI centre bought $billions of Nvidia chips, practically putting Nvidia where it is today. And there's more $billions to go. So looking at the forecast on Nvidia's share price -

And.....

So anyone with a spare few dollars......

There's also this company called AMD. :dunno:
Their stuff can do whatever NVIDIA does and has done better than NVIDIA in the past and was reigning champions for years before the 900 series. Really.
HD 5870 blew the 9800 gtx away by more than double.
NVIDIA did not have more performance until the 900 series.
2006-what..14? What year did the NVIDIA 900-series come out?
Not quite a decade, but almost, AMD was better.
7 years AMD ruled the roost.
From 2008 until 2015. 980 Ti ousted it.
Before that, this was King:
That's all NVIDIA is. Smoke and mirrors.

Maybe so, but Musk is lining up to buy $billions more Nvidia chips and not AMD.

I saw a report on them for 2025 performance the other day, still very strong but not as gangbusters as the OP states.....Still a solid investment.

Competition will increase, and it will tank. It earns divs of about 4 cents a share per year. Duh. Compare to Energy Transfer's div record at a fraction of the share price. Tech changes pretty fast.

you won't lose money with NVDA so it's a safe investment, as for how much it grows depends on how large and fast AI grows

supermicro relies on nvidia so in a sense they are tied to AI growth

micron also is tied to both to supply high bandwidth memory

AMD does not have the best GPU and even if they could I don't see them having the capacity to build them fast enough to satisfy the demand

AMD is kind of low right now might be a buying opportunity?

last two analysts give AMD a hold and a 12 month price point of 160

on average yes but the price point has dropped from the latest two and it's a hold so they are not seeing a huge growth at the moment but that could always change with their quarter financials come out, if they beat EPS

The latest nvidia chip is faster, uses less power than anything AMD has currently

musk begs to differ, go with the latest and greatest and most likely he swung a deal to get a discount, when you buy thousands he might be the richest guy in the world but he's not going to throw away money either

likely comes down to logistics, nvidia can produce more faster than AMD who just can't scale up for demand

TMSC can only produce so many chips so fast, they have a huge client list
