A Palestinian man is to be stripped of his newly granted German citizenship after posting a photo showing support for Hamas.

A day after celebrating the arrival of his German passport, the man, referred to only as Abdallah, uploaded a picture to Instagram showing Hamas fighters with the caption “heroes of Palestine”.

The problem with this is that it opens up a wide door of concern. Of course Hamas are a terror group, but, they were also an elected government....two decades ago.

We could say even more about the CCP for instance. They took power 80 years ago and haven't had a free election since. If someone walked around and said "I am a big supporter and admirer of the Communist Party of China!"

Would Germany get angry as they trade tens of billions with China?

It all becomes murky and I'd much prefer language I don't like to be free to be stated rather than having to feel I must censor myself. There was legitimately a time in which if you were critical of China you'd be on some watch list because the Canadian fools considered them a better prospect for "free markets (meaning, businesses here freely outsourced to the Communists for cheap junk they could transnationally ship to America)".

It probably wasn't until a head of CSIS called out the threat that China posed that perhaps Canadians were more free to be critical (I was uncomfortable since 2003 with their rise when I read of them eating American factories). That head of CSIS was soon replaced as it were so take that for what you will.
