You are part of the executive branch, article I of the constitution. Elon Musk is part of the executive branch, article II of the constitution.

At the moment, Elon Musk is very busy dealing with an incredible amount of waste fraud and abuse in executive agencies that the new president inherited. So explaining his every move to Congress is a “nice to” not a requirement.

But… The minute Elon Musk originates a spending bill, or approves a treaty, or declares war, or issues a letter of Mark and reprisal, or levies taxes?

THEN you’ll have some ‘splainin’ to do!

They had the oversite and had IGs to do it but they failed miserably. The few times the IGs did find something congress sat on their hands and did nothing.

Hell, they even made law to try to protect IGs that were not doing their jobs
