I really would like to hear just once, from anyone who supports Israel blindly, just what part the Zionists have in this whole mess.

I know they'll take no blame at all, and that I find disturbing and telling. Look for FagRoudy to come along any second and scream "Nazi". Stupid little BB-***** that he is.

P F Tinmore, et al,

Video Quote: "Normalization is the Colonization of the Mind." (Ms Samah Sabawi borrows it from the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) Statements web site.)

It is quite the snappy quote, yet utter nonsense.

“Normalization is the colonization of the mind, whereby the oppressed subject comes to believe that the oppressor’s reality is the only “normal” reality that must be subscribed to, and that the oppression is a fact of life that must be coped with.” See: Colonization of the Mind: Normalize This!

This is actually an adaptation of the Stockholm Syndrome (people who have been held as hostages begin to identify with and feel sympathetic toward their captors) and not the generalized concept in the Theory of Normalization (the Process Theory that is an explanatory model that helps managers, clinicians, constituents and researchers understand these processes; in a familiar and understandable way).

(COMMENT)

The goal and objective of Ms Samah Sabawi's presentation is to undermine any lingering belief that any attempt at a negotiated peace might be productive. They are the goals and objectives as outlined by HAMAS:

Article 13:
  • Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement.
  • There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.

SOURCE: The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement

Let there be no mistake, for as charming, cultured and educated that Ms Samah Sabawi is, she is an Article 17 Jihadist speaking in the interest of HAMAS.

The Role of the Moslem Woman: HAMAS Covenant said:
Article 17

The Moslem woman has a role no less important than that of the moslem man in the battle of liberation. She is the maker of men. Her role in guiding and educating the new generations is great.

SOURCE: The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement

Remember, that in the absences of a conflict, HAMAS and the military wings of HAMAS, have no real purpose and thus, loose power and influence. It is in the best interest of the HAMAS Leadership that any Initiative that might reach a peaceful settlement is diametrically opposed to the principles of HAMAS; which is the only perspective the Palestinian should hold.

This is the true "colonization of the mind."

Aren't you spreading that propaganda a little thick.

Palestinian political parties are too irrelevant to get any support.

You know, or should know, that there is not going to be a negotiated peace.

THE COVENANT OF THE HAMAS - MAIN POINTS

=======================================

The Covenant of the Islamic Resistance Movement was issued on August

18, 1988. The Islamic Resistance Movement, also known as the HAMAS,

is an extremist fundamentalist Islamic organization operating in the

territories under Israeli control. Its Covenant is a comprehensive

manifesto comprised of 36 separate articles, all of which promote the

basic HAMAS goal of destroying the State of Israel through Jihad

(Islamic Holy War). The following are excerpts of the HAMAS

Covenant:

Goals of the HAMAS:

------------------

'The Islamic Resistance Movement is a distinguished Palestinian

movement, whose allegiance is to Allah, and whose way of life is

Islam. It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of

Palestine.' (Article 6)

On the Destruction of Israel:

-----------------------------

'Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will

obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.' (Preamble)

The Exclusive Moslem Nature of the Area:

----------------------------------------

'The land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf [Holy Possession]

consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. No one

can renounce it or any part, or abandon it or any part of it.'

(Article 11)

'Palestine is an Islamic land... Since this is the case, the

Liberation of Palestine is an individual duty for every Moslem

wherever he may be.' (Article 13)

The Call to Jihad:

------------------

'The day the enemies usurp part of Moslem land, Jihad becomes the

individual duty of every Moslem. In the face of the Jews' usurpation,

it is compulsory that the banner of Jihad be raised.' (Article 15)

'Ranks will close, fighters joining other fighters, and masses

everywhere in the Islamic world will come forward in response to the

call of duty, loudly proclaiming: 'Hail to Jihad!'. This cry will

reach the heavens and will go on being resounded until liberation is

achieved, the invaders vanquished and Allah's victory comes about.'

(Article 33)

Rejection of a Negotiated Peace Settlement:
-------------------------------------------

'[Peace] initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and

international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of

the Islamic Resistance Movement... Those conferences are no more than

a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of

Islam... There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by

Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a

waste of time, an exercise in futility.' (Article 13)

What is Fatah doing to make peace? Nothing.

What is Israel doing to make peace? Nothing.

What is the US doing to make peace? Nothing.

Why are you unloading on Hamas?

Why are you unloading on Hamas?
(COMMENT)

I don't think anyone is unloading on HAMAS. We recognize it for what they demonstrate they were in the past, what they say they are today, and what they claim to be in the future. They are proud of their history and the tenants for which they stand. One Islamic Wafq, indivisible under Allah, with Sharia Law for all.

What is Fatah doing to make peace? Nothing.
(COMMENT)

Fatah has entered into peace negotiations. As opposed to HAMAS which is actively working against the peace process. Fatah is at least trying to make a better tomorrow.

(EPILOG)

As our friend "Mojo2" points out, HAMAS - as did the Arab Higher Committee - has stated its goals and objectives. And as pointed out many time, HAMAS actively has worked to thwart the peace process as a goal and objective. In terms of peace, HAMAS has consistently expressed an opposing perspective and point of view.

HAMAS celebrates who they are; and the Jihad for which they stand. The US, Israel and Fatah, are at least trying to secure peace; emphasizing the paramount importance of the maintenance of international peace and security --- and the development of friendly relations in the spirit of Co-operation. HAMAS goals are exactly the opposite.

When this is posted in the last few days on Fatah's website it is a bit difficult to accept that Fatah are "at least trying to secure peace" Rocco.

Sweet_Caroline, et al,

When dealing with the various Palestinian Factions, it becomes a choice of the lesser of evils.

Both sides of the equation (meaning they are equally dangerous) are supporters of terrorism (Jihadist and Fedayeen). The video you submitted for our review is probably cause to believe that Fatah (through the military wing of the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade) still requires quarantine as a deadly threat; no question. It demonstrates that given the Occupation Force protocols, they still have the ability to maintain a formidable arsenal.

(COMMENT)

Yet, they (Fatah) are willing to talk about the potential for peace (politically engage). But as I have said many time before, the Occupation still has reason to be maintained (and tightened) if the threat is to be neutralized.

There are no good guys on either side of the Palestinian question; they are equally dangerous. But, there is a difference in the potential for a settlement of claim, restitution, and reparation (slim though it may be).

There is no reason to believe that the current negotiations will either fail or succeed. There simply is insufficient data to make a determination. But in the case of Fatah, there is a chance that something positive may emerge where there is no potential with HAMAS.

Peace process?

Those losers are going to blab for another 20 years while Israel steals the rest of the West Bank.

That is what BDS is for. To get Israel to negotiate in good faith.

But, in all honesty, the opposite is true - more BDS BS = less jobs, etc., for palistanians. Aren't the latter tired of being permanently collaterally damaged?

While the Palestinians are at work, Israel is bulldozing their house.
