In other words, the voting was rigged in the past and to make up for their past rigging of the awards, they decided it was time to continue rigging the voting, resulting in the fact that the voting continues to be rigged.

I agree that Obama deserves a lot of recognition for being the first black president. It is an historic achievement which will be forever in the history books. He deserves that recognition. BUT, that is not what the Nobel Peace Prize is for. It is for doing something to promote or achieve peace in the world. Obama did absolutely nothing in those regards to win a Nobel Peace prize not only at the time he won it, but throughout his presidency he really did nothing else to win that particular award.
