This is so amusing, the NFL would definitely sweep this under the rug if public image and the high profile nature of the Epstein files hadn’t forced their hand. They have a long history of covering up their problems and only act concerned when they lose their first choice: bury it.
Although Tisch’s name reportedly appeared in last week’s latest release of Epstein files from the Justice Department, Commissioner Roger Goodell said it was premature to evaluate whether Tisch will be disciplined under the league’s personal conduct policy.
“I would say that absolutely we are going to look at all the facts,” Goodell said at his annual news conference during Super Bowl week. “We’re going to look at the context of them and try to understand that. And we’ll look at how that falls under the policy. But I think you take one step at a time and let’s get the facts first.”
Tisch’s name reportedly appeared at least 440 times in the more than 3 million documents released Friday. Epstein connected Tisch with numerous women, according to email exchanges first reported by the Athletic.
“We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments,” Tisch said in a statement Friday. “I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.”
