This bill, for purposes of this provision, would include a parent's affirmation of the child's gender identity as part of the health, safety, and welfare of the child.
Now is it a good bill? No. It’s crappy. It inserts an unnecessary, politically charged condition into what should be normal child custody decisions. Like decisions on medical care, these sorts of things are between the parents and the family, not the state. Custody disputes get nasty enough without this.

I think that this bill has more to do with giving Trans children the same help that all other children need to get if they find themselves in an environment in their home where there may be alcohol, drug, physical, Psychological or verbal abuse where Child Protection has to make the decision to take the child, or children, out of that house for any period of time for the child's well being.Twitter is a crappy source, even more so now and the thread title a complete fabrication. You do know that California receives the most money from the Federal Government ? Almost twice that of Florida.At least California does not depend on Federal money as most of the Red States do.
