The bonus for them this year is that the Skyline Drive/Shenandoah National Park is open but they don't have to pay to get in due to the dem shutdown.

That's $30.00 a carload the US Park Service is missing out on.

The entrance fee for Shenandoah National Park on Skyline Drive is as follows:

• Single Vehicle: $30 for unlimited entry for one vehicle and passengers for seven consecutive days.

I bet it's gonna be a total cluster up there as it's usually all hands on deck this time of year just moving the leaf-lookers through the park at a somewhat steady pace.

Just imagine a solid single line of cars 105 miles long and that is what you have this time of year up there....Now think of that with no park personnel handling the little issues that pop up due to the shutdown.

In any event, any reductions to undocumented health care stemming from this policy as states drop this coverage would not lead to reductions in Medicaid coverage or federal Medicaid spending in and of itself since the coverage is entirely state-funded. Federal savings would only occur if states try to retain this state-only coverage and face the financial penalty, doubling their own spending on the Medicaid expansion. In other words, any reduced spending will be a reduction in funding states receive to care for citizens and qualified immigrants in Medicaid expansion—not the undocumented.

I saw a similar article about squatters moving into Yosemite NP because there were no personnel to control entry. Entry fees there are $20/person or $35/vehicle. I was surprised that they don't accept cash anymore so if you don't have a CC, no come in.
