Supposedly instructions came out to post offices that customers carrying arms (lobby) were not to be asked to leave and business was to be conducted as normal.

I've yet to see the memo posted anywhere so take it for what it's worth.

I know a district court ruled that it was unconstitutional last year but I never heard anymore about it.

this is from my union....

  • this ruling is limited to the specific plaintiffs involved in that lawsuit and does not apply to the general public or all post offices.
  • For the vast majority of people, the USPS ban remains in effect.

Wow, it really is a landmark decision. No wonder it's not getting any play in the mainstream media.

I'm covered as I'm a SAF member (as well as folks from other 2A .orgs) and as such I was considered a plaintiff.

This is the third time it's paid to be an SAF member as far as having plaintiff standing. :)

In the past the rulings were made nationwide and I don't expect this one to be any different.

LOL....I guess my PO said **** it as half the old farts going in the are carrying concealed anyway. ;)

Why would someone need a gun in a post office, or a shop/high street etc..

I knew a guy back in the 90's who I worked with, someone pissed him off and he said "next time I'm going postal" and he was fired for about 30 days, but the union got him his job back. "Going postal" used to be a thing.

Always being ready for the unexpected is kind of the point.

A criminal/mass shooter/etc. isn’t going say “oh, this is a post office. Guess I can’t shoot people up here”

You have more chance being struck by lightning. So tell me how you prepared for that before arming up in a post office?

I'm not complaining because I don't usually carry but there are still "No Gun" signs in Post Offices and the ABC store in Va. It's like "no blacks" posted by bigots back in the day.
