“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk said in a post on his social platform X.

“Such ingratitude,” he added.

Well, who didn't see this coming? Both musk and trump are walking egos. Musk pumped millions into trump's campaign...and he got what so many other got for their efforts....screwed. it is the trump MO.

He might be right, though I would argue that RFK and Gabbard were just as important. The bottom line is, "would Musk prefer Harris as president"?

If he was helping Trump to win for the country, excellent and commendable. If he was doing it for personal gain then he has lost the plot and he will not be as influential.

Looks like Musk finally figured out how much of a shitshow DC is.

Took Trump 4 years in office, and then 4 years out of office to figure it out, Musk had only 3 months.

Shares of Tesla fell 14% on Thursday as President Donald Trump threatened to pull government contracts for CEO Elon Musk’s companies, escalating a war of words over the spending bill.

“Elon was “wearing thin,” I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump spoke from the Oval Office earlier Thursday and said Musk was upset that EV credits were not included in the bill.

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore,” Trump said in the Oval Office on Thursday. “I was surprised.”

“Whatever,” Musk fired back as the president spoke.
The fall in shares comes after the EV maker saw a 22% rally in May despite weak sales numbers, with Musk wrapping up his time as head of Trump’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE.

Shares are down 17% this week as Musk has spoken out about the budget bill. This year, shares are down more than 25% and well off the high of $488.54 reached Dec. 18.
