Well lets cut the crap here.
All this is in my opinion a calculated slap in the face for the father of the nation.
Kuti is undeniably an african. But not a nice white african that trump likes so much. In short he is a black man. So the lib grammys are rewarding a potential rapist and terrorist
Its just a joke. They could be giving the award to musical giants like Kid Rock or Lee Greenwood.
Better still give the award to trump himself. He is a music man to the core. Single handedly got the country dancing after years of biden misery. Revived the careers of 80s legends Village People.

Dont waste it on some african darkie loser.

Awaeds should go to winners not to DEI picks.

Never heard of this particular darkie loser. This has got to be a vanity award to make the left feel good.

At least the public knows who kid rock is

Hardly anyone ever heard of a Fela Kuti

I never heard of him before

Probably neither had you

I've been listening to him for decades

I have an eclectic play list, everything from six different versions of Beethoven Symphonies or piano or violin Concertos, to Brazilian, African, Sonny Rollins or rock.

When I lived in NYC a few decades ago. I was at a street fair up in the West 90s and one of the vendors was playing a song that stopped me in my tracks.
