The Mullahs have been historically untrustworthy in honoring a commitment to peace. I mean, peace (to them) could be what they call hudna. A false peace aimed at creating space to re arm, etc. We could take them out and assassinate the Ayatolla if needed. Rewrite the OP substituting the US for Iran and it will begin to make better sense .

Why doesn't the lying and deceitful US tell the truth for once ?

Iran sits on Russia's door step and is also the spot
needed as the hub for the Great "Silk" Road project .
Plus lots of natural resources .

However, if the Islam world rises up and literally destroys Israel, in front of setting up a new nation of Judea , the Americans will be flat on their face yet again .
