I am not sure MSNBC edited it as much as created an impression by incorrectly captioning it.
I listened closely and carefully to the CSPAN link and simply found it hard to understand the chant with all the noise. I'm trying to reload it to be sure but it's taking longer to load this time. I was able to skip to the right part of the tape before but now it looks like it's gonna make me listen to 27 minutes and not skip.
So just going on memory ... what I remember from listening to it a few minutes ago is three words starting with R, all unclear. The first word sounding slightly closer to Romney than Ryan. The 2nd sounding sort of like Ryan. The third sounding closer to Romney again.
But all unclear.
Which is of course a good reason to not take the word of the people who were there.

Normally -- I don't spend this much time in partisian shit-slinging.. But this goes BEYOND the usual infantile crap that takes up pages on USMB.. And I'm pissed that we have a branch of one of America's top 3 network news agencies caught REPEATEDLY creating stories where none exists. Really pissed.
Seems like there are a handful of Kool-Aid drinking leftists out there that want to believe Romney is an egomaniacal attention whore who couldn't let his VP wingman get 10 seconds of crowd cheering. But that's not what happened.
You folks need to produce ONE or preferably TWO witnesses on the ground at that airport rally who will attest to the facts AS YOU DESPARATELY WANT TO BELIEVE THEM..
You haven't done that. And because you are keeping this story alive --- MSNBC will have to eventually fess up to this serious breach of ethics.
When they do --- you will be left sucking air and maybe settling for Wolf Blitzer..
The NY Times, the Examiner piece I posted, 15 other investigative journalism outfits have reported the truth.
And the CSPAN recording of events that I link below CLEARLY SHOWS, that Care4All is CORRECT that Ryan spoke first.. But even while he was speaking the crowd was chanting for Romney ----- not Ryan.. See 26:00 minutes into the rally for example.
Then at 27:00 minutes into the rally -- the hand-off occurs and Romney cuts the audience off after only 2 or 3 weak cheers and SUGGESTS they include some love for Ryan.
Produce some evidence or be a tool ---- your choice.. Keep this tempest in a teapot going --- and you may bring your primary source of propaganda to it's knees and send poor Rachael back to blogging, and have NBC execs begging for public forgiveness. Your choice.......

At 27:25, the crowd is chanting "Romney! Romney!" Romney then interjects it should be "Romney-Ryan!" -- and the crowd chants that.
If MSDNC's horseshit was correct and that the crowd wasn't excited about Romney, why were they chanting "Romney!" at 26:00?
Even the most partisan of leftist partisan hacks cannot mistake the chanting at 26:00.
