I actually wanted to mount a campaign to lead Canada's New Democratic Party but, once I found out that I joined up two months too late I decided to take a look at the other candidates.

My choice is Ms. Heather McPherson partly due to the fact that she is from Alberta and she should be the one who will know how to prevent Alberta from leaving Canada and joining with the USA?

My beginning this poll puts me in a position where I can write up what would have been my own personal platform, so that Ms. Heather McPherson can criticize me on any point that she wishes, [or she can coopt any part of my proposed platform that she rather likes]?


I am hoping to set up Ms. Heather McPherson with what I believe was a brilliant response to the possibility that the world economy could well go into a "Distopian Nightmare" over the next ten to thirty years as was explained by the brilliant Mo Gawdat?

Note: [Ms. McPherson, I was a member of Canada's Liberal Party from 2009 to 2015 and perhaps I am still angry that my friends in the Liberal Party did not enthusiastically assist me in my attempt to rival Mr. Justin Trudeau for the title of National Leader of the Liberal Party back in 2011 and 2012]? I was living in Central - Nova back at that time and due to the NDP alliance with the Liberal Party I do believe that you could get quite a discussion going when you do visit Nova Scotia.

It also is relevant that I voted for Mr. Jim Boudreau twice and attended a meeting at his home on one occasions. There is actually a rather funny story behind that visit?

Do you know of any fellow members of the NDP who became friends with The John Turmel during his many campaigns for public office?

John C. Turmel (born February 22, 1951)<a href="John Turmel - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>1<span>]</span></a> is a perennial candidate for election in Canada, and according to the Guinness World Records holds the records for the most elections contested and for the most elections lost, having contested 112 elections and lost 111.<a href="John Turmel - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>2<span>]</span></a> The other contest was a by-election that was pre-empted by a general election call.

I have a rather funny story for you about my first ever meeting with the NDP in the home of Mr. Jim Boudreau back in 2006. I have a tendency to get myself kicked out of churches, so, I have built up some habits that decrease the probability of my joining a political party where it would be nearly impossible for me to fit in. Back in 2006 I suspected that I might not be able to fit in with the NDP so, I made a comment at Jim's house that made it clear that I was not ready at that time for NDP membership. Nineteen years later and I now think that I might just fit in better with the NDP than with any other federal level Canadian political party.

I often am but I believe that if YOU had the political courage to create some sort of NDP Volunteerism Dollar or NDP Volunteerish Hour, [perhaps somewhat like www.CalgaryDollars.ca], then I believe that Mr. John Turmel could become like an actor playing the role of somebody who LOSES ALTERNATIVE CURRENCY NOTES DELIBERATELY at a casino that does fund raising for charities, and voila.......... The John Turmel might just be able to turn those Alternative Currency Notes into good ol' Canadian Dollars?

"City in Austria Printed Local Currency
Worgl, like many other European towns and cities, was hit hard by the Great Depression. There was mass unemployment; four of the five local factories had closed, and the people were starving in the streets. Nobody had any money to buy anything. One of the features of an economic depression is that there is not enough money in circulation to ensure that people can meet their basic needs, and in the 1930s, the shortage of currency in many countries of the world became catastrophic.

The mayor of Worgl, together with local businessmen, decided to try to break this economic impasse by creating their own local currency. They printed and issued 60,000 Austrian shillings worth of local currency. These shillings could only be spent in Worgl, so they remained in the local community and were exchanged over and over again.

The positive impact was immediate and surprising to everyone. In only six weeks, unemployment disappeared, all the factories had reopened and everyone had food. For the inhabitants of Worgl, the economic depression was gone. This dramatic transformation became known as the “miracle of Worgl.” Surrounding towns, inspired by the success of Worgl, immediately started printing their own local currencies.

Sadly, the miracle did not last long. When the Austrian Central Bank heard about Worgl’s local currency, they initiated legal proceedings against the mayor and local businessmen. According to Austrian banking law, it was illegal for anyone except the Austrian Central Bank to issue money. The bank won the court case, and the mayor was ordered to shut down the local currency, which he did, under threat of imprisonment. The town then returned to the devastating economic depression of the 1930s, with all the human pain and suffering associated with this catastrophe. Factories closed, and once again, the people starved.

Alternative Currency in the U.S.
Irving Fisher, an American professor of economics at Yale University, visited Worgl before the local currency was suppressed and witnessed the ‘miracle’ firsthand. When he returned to the United States, Fisher spread the word by traveling and lecturing across the country, advocating the use of the Worgl ‘scrip’ everywhere. Inspired by his vision, hundreds of communities began issuing their own currency, and by 1934 there were over 1,000 local communities using ‘scrip’ throughout the U.S.

Every one of these communities experienced a tremendous rejuvenation of their local economies. They thrived while others suffered. Fisher then met with President Franklin D. Roosevelt, proposing the implementation of government-sanctioned local ‘scrip’ in every community in America. When FDR consulted with his top financial advisors and bankers, however, he was advised to shut all the ‘scrip’ systems down, which he did. Instead, he borrowed large amounts of money from bankers, at interest, and used it to pay for the Reconstruction Finance Corporation and the other work-creation projects, which collectively came to be known as the ‘New Deal.’ So ended the last widespread use of a local currency within the U.S.

This pattern of economic collapse and re-emergence of local currencies has occurred thousands of times in many parts of the world. When these currencies have failed or have been suppressed, banks have not always been to blame. Sometimes, local currencies fail because they have been badly designed or implemented. Sometimes, people lose interest in them when the mainstream economy recovers. But they have always returned in one form or another during times of economic failure.

Our present world situation is uniquely different. Despite a relatively prosperous and stable world economy, a quiet monetary revolution has been occurring around the globe over the last 20 years. It doesn't matter what you plan. Islam is growing rapidly and by 2036 it is being said that it will be 8% of the population. I believe that figure will be higher and as their population increases, they demand changes in society so as to not offend them. Openly Christmas celebrations will have to be guarded or curtailed entirely. Terrorist activities will increase. Islam is essentially divided into two houses:
The House of Islam: The teachings, worship and practices of Islam.
The House of War: This is a mixture of conventional war as we know it and asymmetrical warfare. Essentially, guerilla warfare. Individuals and initially small groups causing violence (knife attacks, shootings, IED's, etc.).
If pressured by non-Muslim governments, they simply "go underground." They stay quiet while they build their numbers.

The areas of North Africa and the Middle East used to be Christian. They were obliterated via violence.

I could be wrong about this but it is my honest belief that one of the best "opening gambits" might be for The Ms. Heather McPherson to attempt to talk Alberta's Premier Ms. Danielle Smith into a grand master plan to pay off the national debts of the USA and Canada simultaneously?

I am of the belief that either Premier Danielle Smith and / or Ms. Heather McPherson should arrange a meeting with Pastors John and Carol Arnott and with Pastor's Steve and Sandra Long much like the meeting that Mr. Justin Trudeau had with them back in 2007.

I believe that figure will be higher and as their population increases, they demand changes in society so as to not offend them. The truth is that you can do more to decrease global warming by just reducing the average temperature for the Sahara Desert by one or two degrees than if we humans completely quit using fossil fuels and returned to the cave.

So, how would you start working to resolve this problem? Easy, cool the deserts and get some vegetation growing on them as soon as possible. But the method is much more complex than that. You have to use the prevailing trade winds in relation to the deserts to get the best results as quickly as possible and it will be extremely expensive.

Then we build desalination plants along the coast near these water sheds and pipe water to the tops or ridges of the water sheds

This will do a number of things. First, it will increase the moisture in the desert soil so that it will develop water tables and water will begin to run in the streams. This water will increase the amount of vegetation in the area and decrease the amount of heat being generated by sun light cooling the watered area and all areas down wind of the watered area. As more available water evaporates, it will cool the air and reflect more sun light back out into space cooling the area even more. Cooler and more humid air will have less of a heating effect on areas down wind and will reflect more sun light back into space in those areas cooling areas we won't be watering yet. Cooler and more humid air will also have less of a warming effect on our seas and oceans.

Rain water running off of cooler soil will decrease the heating effect on our oceans and our planet crusts which will decrease catastrophic storm activities for other areas and seismic activity for the entire planet. Also, returning more ocean water to the surface and aquifers of our continents will lower the sea levels providing more usable land for us to farm and build on.

With cooler desert areas and increasing vegetation, less water will evaporate from our deserts increasing the amount of surface water even more and increasing the amount of vegetation and animal life by huge amounts because deserts currently take up more than 20% of our land surface. Populations will be able to spread out and there will be less competition for existing land areas.

This strategy has to be done in steps with the first step being to begin slowing the rate at which our global warming is increasing. We need to focus on that until we have brought it to a point to where the temperature is not increasing any more and is reasonably stable. While we are doing this, we need to come to a global consensus of just how cool we want to cool our planet down to. If we cool it down too much, we will begin to have devastatingly harsh winters in large populated areas and even cause an ice age to set in.

Then we begin cooling the planet down to a point which will be most beneficial for all countries or the planet as a whole. We need to gradually bring the temperature down because there may be a lag effect in which the planet will continue cooling after we stop increasing our efforts to cool it off more. We may even want to stop cooling the planet once or twice before we reach our targeted temperatures to see if there is a lag effect


We need to start working on this as soon as possible because, if the planet reaches a point to where it is warming faster than our technology can possibly stop or reverse this warming trend, then our planet is lost and all life will cease to exist on this planet within a relatively short period of time. We will need to start with the largest and hottest deserts because cooling them will have the greatest benefit in the least time. (Global Warming II by biologist Carl Cantrell).

But my goal is a whole lot bigger. I joined the NDP in May of 2025 in hopes that I could mount my own campaign for the office of National Leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada.

Soon I found out that I was two months too late to officially get into the race so my next option is to choose who I believe would make the best leader of the NDP and very possibly next Prime Minister of Canada.

Now I believe that an option is ahead of Ms. Heather McPherson that IF SHE RESPONDS TO THIS OPTION BRILLIANTLY, she could well surge into the leadership of Canada's NDP and replace the former NDP leader Mr. Jagmeet Singh.

IMHO.....It's the same as the fix for student loans - get the .gov out of the health care business.

Government laws and policies got us here so I don't think more government policies, no matter how well intentioned, is gonna fix it.

That and Health Care Insurance should be able to be bought like car insurance, across state lines.

Let folks purchase whatever insurance product they want instead of being forced into a product designed to subsidize others.
