A Wes Anderson movie. You either like his movies or you don't.
Personally, I am amused by his over-the-top stereotypes he does in this movie.
"Khaki Scouts" - instead of Boy Scouts.
His portrayal of the Scouts as super nerdy, extremely rule based is just funny.
A coming of age movie - Wes Anderson style.
HUGE - huge cast of superstars play most of the adults. All of the kids are unknown actors.
To me, it is what I remember - funny, highly imaginative and fun. Although, I didn't quite remember the pretty darn sexual relations between the two 12 year old kids. But actually pretty accurate in what sex is to 12 year olds before the internet.
