This is clearly no day for a walk along the beach. Gale-force winds batter the seafront at the port of Seaham in northeast England on Wednesday, creating almost fractal-like spouts of water. Scenes like this could become commonplace in the coming days across Britain, which is once again preparing for snow and heavy winter storms.
