Mitt Romney: Trump's pardon of Roger Stone is an example of corruption

Stone is a criminal. Worse than Cohen and yet Cohen is back in jail and Stone is out.

What's the difference between the two?

Friendship and loyalty to the President.

What's wrong with that eh?

It makes total sense, since Rodger Stone was involved in cases where Donald Trump himself was being investigated.

Uh, dumbass

{
The investigation did not establish any agreement among Campaign officials or between such officials and Russia-linked individuals to interfere with or obstruct a lawful function of a government agency during the campaign or transition period. And, as discussed in Volume 1, Section V.A, supra, the investigation did not identify evidence that any Campaign official or associate knowingly and intentionally participated in the conspiracy to defraud that the Office charged, namely, the active-measures conspiracy described in Volume 1, Section II, supra.
Accordingly, the Office did not charge any Campaign associate or other US. person with conspiracy to defraud the United States based on the Russia-related contacts described in Section IV above.
style='font-size:10.5pt;font-family:Courier;color:#333333'>The investigation did not, however, yield evidence sufficient to sustain any charge that any individual affiliated with the Trump Campaign acted as an agent of a foreign principal within the meaning of FARA or, in terms of Section 951, subject to the direction or control of the government of Russia, or any official thereof. In particular, the Office did not find evidence likely to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Campaign officials such as Paul Manafott, George Papadopoulos, and Carter Page acted as agents of the Russian government or at its direction, control, or request during the relevant time period.1232

Try a different lie.

Romney is a scumbag, no different than Pelosi or Omar.

What lie are you referring to? https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6773690/Stone-Memo-USA-2020-02-10.pdf

A. Factual Background The jury found Stone guilty of obstructing a congressional investigation, making numerous false statements to Congress, and witness tampering. This conduct was part of an effort to hide from Congress and to craft a false narrative about Stone’s conduct in 2016. The government briefly summarizes those background events. In 2016, Stone’s longtime associate Donald Trump was running for President of the United States. In the months leading up to the 2016 presidential election, Stone made repeated efforts to Case 1:19-cr-00018-ABJ Document 279 Filed 02/10/20 Page 1 of 26 2 obtain information from an organization called WikiLeaks that would help the Trump campaign and harm the campaign of Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton

The lie was the Russian collusion hoax cooked up by the traitor party to stage a coup against the duly elected POTUS. What was Stone ever called in front of the lying traitor fucks of the DNC house for in the first place? See, lying to traitor fucks like Adam Schitt or Nazi Piglousy isn't a crime.

Because he allegedly lied to traitors who were attempting to overthrow the government of the United States?

I don't think so, leach.

Stone was a political prisoner held by the Maoist democrats.

You are the Khmer Rouge.

People have been charged for lying to congress. 5 people who lied to Congress, and what happened to them
As to his specific lies. He lied about the identity of his intermediary to WikiLeaks. He lied about the existence of written communications with his intermediary. He lied by denying he had communicated with the Trump campaign about the timing of WikiLeaks’ releases.

He was tried and convicted by a jury of his peers. They felt the specific charges were proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Even Barr not exactly someone in the camp of the Democrats agreed with the conviction.

A jury of his peers, Comrade traitor?

A kangaroo court with an openly corrupt Obama Judge.

AG Barr said it would be a crime during his confirmation hearings.

RIGGGHHT fuckwad.

McDougal's pardon follows Clinton's announcement Friday that he had reached an immunity deal with Independent Counsel Robert W. Ray. The deal allows Clinton to avoid indictment in the Whitewater investigation in return for giving up his law license for five years and admitting he gave false testimony under oath.

Convicted at a 1996 trial in which Clinton testified in her defense, McDougal has stood loyally behind the president. She defied Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr's investigation at almost every turn, appearing on national television in her orange prison jumpsuit to refute Starr's charge Clinton was involved in illegal loans related to the mid-1980s Whitewater land venture.

The only thing exceeding the hypocrisy of you Khmer Rouge fucks is your dishonesty.

Alrighty then, lets talk commutations.

That little shit sucks and was guilty also and should still be rotting in jail.

It is TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE for any Republican Conservative to get a Fair Trial in a Washington DC Court.. It is a Farce to call the Stone Verdict justice any more then a Jew could get a Fair Trial in a NAZI Court.

Consider the recent Presidential Race in 2016

District of Columbia Results

Donald J. TrumpRepublican12,7234.1

Gary JohnsonLibertarian4,9061.6
Jill SteinD.C. Statehood Green4,2581.4

Do the math...90.9/4.1 = 22,17 Yes, 22 dems for every 1 repub.

In the interest of TRUE JUSTICE, a venue where there is about a 50/50 split in party allegiance between Republicans and Democrats should political trials.

Twelve people voted his guilt based on the evidence, not politics. All it took was 1 vote to say not guilty, but on 7 of the counts, there wasn't 1 juror that would swing that direction. It didn't even take long for them to come to the decision, mostly convicted on his own testimony to congress. He was guilty as charged, simple fact. Get over it. The convict may not serve time, but the whole world knows he is guilty. He will be guilty until after election, but before inauguration day in January, or else, a confict for the rest of his life.

Well, your half right. Not conflicted, but did kick back by and in the pool after I finished my fence staining project.

Interesting legal theory. Don't think the jury that ended up convicting him shares it.

Will Romney be nominated at the Republican convention when the "frondeurs" hold their revolt?

Romney is the darling of you Stalinists, but not real popular among Americans. It is amusing how you Marxists always love the ultr-rich and pampered. You are the party of aristocrats.
Marxist leaders are always the richest people

LEGAL THEORY Comrade traitor? :lmao:

Here's a "legal theory," there is "equal justice under the law"

Under that theory, Stone would be no more legally responsible for lying to congress than James Clapper, KGB John Brennan, Eric Holder, or Hillary Clinton.

This had NOTHING to do with law. Roger Stone was a POLITICAL prisoner held due to his opposition to the attempted coup by the Khmer Rouge democrats, the traitor party.

And yet a republican led administration headed by a Republican president and helped by a Republican AG don't
prosecute them. What are they waiting for if you think they can get them? Meanwhile, someone who's tried and convicted by a jury of their peers, meaning a unanimous decision by twelve people decided the evidence was beyond a reasonable doubt to convict someone of no less than 7 felony counts is a political action? Well, being irrational isn't a crime I guess.

Mittens Romney accepted $1.5 million in campaign donations from two central figures in the Salt Lake Olympics bribery scandal.

Romney was a polished and professional nominee, while Trump was loud and brash

guess which one became president?
