If it's already a crime to harass people or cause a "disruption or breach of the peace" then why the need to add specifics of content like race or nationality?

This sounds like the additional "hate crime" legislation when murder, assault,
abuse, harassment, etc. were ALREADY crimes WITHOUT specifying reasons.

What hate crime legislation does is ADD more legal work and expenses but without changing the outcome, so it's a hassle and waste. It's somehow "symbolic" hoping to serve as a "deterrent".

But if you are going to go through the trouble of teaching people it's wrong and punishable to do hate crimes and hate speech,
why not teach people NOT TO VIOLATE ANY LAWS IN THE FIRST PLACE
including what is harassment, assault and in general violating CONSENT "DUE PROCESS" and Right of SECURITY and PROTECTIONS of other people.

Why not teach all citizens it is UNLAWFUL to deprive ANYONE of liberty, rights and protections of their persons, principles and property WITHOUT DUE PROCESS to prove they have committed some abuse or crime that MERITS the loss of liberty or property as the penalty agreed upon by written laws?

Why not teach THAT instead as a deterrent
and require OBEDIENCE and COMPLIANCE with laws and due process
in order to INVOKE the same rights, protections and privileges given in the laws?

Wouldn't that level of civics education and responsibility for law enforcement
be a more consistent DETERRENT instead of only teaching not to
target "certain people." Why not respect equal rights and laws for ALL people?

(such as laws against libel, slander, misrepresentation or fraud, defamation,
false advertising, harassment, making criminal death threats or terrorist threats etc. etc.)

In general, like the example of not yelling fire in a crowded theatre, as long as you don't abuse your rights to cause a disruption or breach of the peace, then you are within the law. just don't abuse any rights or freedoms to 'disparage' or violate the same rights and protections of others including the right of security and right not to be deprived of life or liberty without due process to prove a wrong was committed that merits lost of liberty or other penalty according to the law.

Using race is a way to " virtual signal" others into the same thinking. It's also a way public schools teach kids " what to think not how to think.

" Protected classes" get away with crimes others can't. That's why child molesters who were reading stories in a public library were not sent to jail for any probation violations etc.. They walk free another person wouldn't.
