Bernie isn't promising FREE STUFF.
Everyone knows that taxes would have to increase. But the bills would be paid by those with the money to pay them and poor people would be able to get an education without having a huge debt load holding them down the rest of their lives.
The Scandinavian Socialistic nations pay approx 50% in taxes but they LOVE it because they get lots of service from their money ... because they aren't paying PROFITS on top of the expense of providing services ... to people who aren't doing a lick of work they're just fortunate enough to have lots of money.
You don't see many people from the Scandinavian / European countries trying to immigrate to the U.S. anymore.
Only people from 3rd world hellholes think coming to America would be a step up .... and many of them are thinking twice.
If the Republican win the Presidency this next election, my best advice to young people would be to get a passport and go to Europe and immigrate to the country of your choice because this country will be almost unliveable. If they stay here they have a future begging in the streets or working for $4 / hr 18 hours a day 7 days a week.
