Horry County Police shut down the festival after an argument lead to a stampede, attendee Hilton Dewitt told the Sun News.

Dewitt said around 1 a.m. the argument broke out on the street near Ocean Boulevard and caused people to rush towards the stage.

He said ambulances came and then police eventually shut down the concert.

The Black Pearl Cultural Heritage and Bike Festival, also called Black Bike Week, is expected to draw crowds of over 400,000 people.

This year is the 45th anniversary of the motorcycle rally which includes meet and greets, parties, live music and entertainment.

You claim that a city is diverse.....then you discover areas of the city that whites aren't welcomed. Houston is like Atlanta, St Louis, Memphis, and so-on.
I was with my nephew (who is black) and he felt he had to let mall store employees know that I was okay to enter because I was with him. I was his court ordered legal guardian when his mother died, and he and I went to a movie and they wouldn't let us in because they didn't believe I was his guardian. I didn't carry my guardianship papers with me to the movies.

If you want to see a diverse community, join the military. That is the most diverse community in the country.
