A Castleton man (Rappahannock Co, Virginia) pleaded guilty last Thursday to driving while intoxicated as well as stealing items totaling more than $67,000:
Two antique replica cannons worth $50,000, a $12,000 John Deere tractor and a $5,000 trailer full of hunting equipment and camping gear.
Well, that's something you don't see every day.
Sounds like two brothers I had on my Unit years ago who would get drunk, take their dad's lowboy, and go around stealing tractors/heavy equipment.....They were from a very well to do family.
They would just take them to a secluded field on their dad's property and park them, none the worse for wear.
I never knew them to steal cannons though.
