The UK has strict gun laws. "All handguns, semi-automatic and pump-action non-rim-fire rifles are prohibited. A few pistols are licensed on a Firearm Certificate for exactly the same reasons as the rest of Great Britain." Probably 90% of those guns you mentioned are hunting rifles. You can't do very effective mass shootings with single action hunting rifles.
