So an ultra progressive candidate won an ultra progressive election in an ultra progressive district and or city....and this is what? A great victory for the who?

What happens when sharia vigilantes start dumping lgbtq's off of skyscrapers?

The same with the other election results in deep blue Democrat land.... I'm more interested in losing numbers.

Cuomo beat the sidewalk sheik amongst conventional voters in New York City by a wide margin.... The trick here is that New York City is almost a foreign country now.

The black woman who ran for governor of Georgia rang up some pretty good numbers and most of the districts.... As always the high voting numbers come out of the ghetto drags.... Usually presided over by democrats.

I am actually encouraged by the election results not discouraged.

For what it's worth I'd love to be able to see Mamdani make some of his promises come true. I'm not against it at all!

Good luck to him.... He's about to find out who really runs New York City and New York State.
Here's a clue it's not the mayor and it's not the governor.

So who's secretly running NYC?

Based on the performance of recent mayors of NYC, the bar is pretty low for this guy to be considered a good mayor.

If Mamdani lost, it would have been indicative of everything in MAGAworld.

If you send him money he will send you this adorable blanket as a thank you.

There was never any danger of him losing.
Nothing has changed New York City is a Democrat bastion. I don't expect that to change for the next hundred years. If it does it will be because it sinks into failure, poverty, high crime and ruination.
If per chance he manages to succeed with his socialist dream I will stand right up and applaud him and Pat him on the back. I really wish him the best.....

Well, if Pam Bondi does not start trials of some Democrats soon....
If a Republican majority in both houses doesn't start getting things accomplished soon....

Then those wins are definitely going to mean something.

And I dont mean re-electing Lindsey Graham either.

Nothing has changed.... There is a single politic in this country and it's called voting for your wallet.

It will continue to be the predominant motivation at the polls regardless of all other political inputs.

People are hurting and the recovery is not happening fast enough. It doesn't matter who is responsible....whoever is at the top at the time is going to take the hit and that's just the nature of the office and it goes with the territory.

Agreed, except his youth of course. Whats important is the three victorious women and wins in Georgia and Virginia.

As a note, a Dem candidate only lost by 3% in deep East Texas. Thats like Fuentes almost winning in Berkeley.

Without a doubt back pocket politics wins every time. The rampant runaway inflation did Biden in. (As well as Immigration and DEI)

And yes. Congress has EVERYTHING to do with the stall. The lack of a budget or even a CR is just a very small part of a huge iceberg this ship is heading for. The Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities have just gone to 12% for delinquencies. That's an all time high, higher than 2008.

This means a TON of small banks are going to go belly up and FDIC is going broke again. The Fed will finally drop rates just in time to save big banks....but just barely.

Meanwhile activist judges not having a lick of judicial restraint will do everything possible to dismantle the country knowing Congress will do NOTHING.

Blue states will continue to cheat every election knowing Bondi will do nothing....

And on and on it will go right down the line this way.

It smells like the final days of the Roman empire doesn't it?

In the meantime China who sees all of this happening is just sitting back and smiling contentedly knowing all they have to do is wait.

They will continue to support Venezuela's infiltration of the United States with fentanyl and other drugs and so will Russia. Why should they confront the United States military when all they have to do is wait for it to fall apart?

Congress needs to figure it out and soon that all of their insider trading wont mean crap if the debt and dysfunction doesn't get fixed and soon....because those banks are going bankrupt and the insurance company backing them cant cover.
