Michelle Obama is all for her daughter’s independence.

However, after her and Barack Obama’s eldest daughter Malia Obama informed them that she would no longer use the family’s moniker in her professional work, they had to keep it real—especially given that, after living in the White House for eight years, anonymity is hard to come by.

Yea, that’s it….independence.

Is there something wrong with that? JD Vance did the same thing.

I dont blame her. It's such a unique last name that everyone will suspect who she is related to.

Not at all, I completely understand why she wants to distance herself from her parents. Much like Vance wanted to distance himself from his birth father, who was never in his life.

Right, so not a story.

You don't think it's a story that she wants to distance herself from her parents who were President and First Lady the same way the current VP wanted to distance himself from his birth father that abandoned him?

Ok, well that's a little weird, but par for the course given your cultist nature

Let me put it this way. Not all that out of the ordinary. I also consider it a family matter. I never condemned Vance for changing his name (multiple times).
