As a certified Boomer, I have sworn that I would never make an issue of a young man's hair. I heard too often the calls of "Are you a boy or a girl?" Right. So forgive me in advance.
But the ex-Boomers need to know a few things. First, just because 50 years ago you thought that hair down to your shoulders was cool, that DOES NOT mean that hair down to your shoulders IN YOUR 70's(!) remains cool today. In fact, a person of your advanced years should not give a flying **** what anyone in the world considers to be "cool." It is pathetic that you even consider it. In fact, it looks stupid. You look like your sense of style got trapped in a time warp three generations ago, and still hasn't got out.
Facial hair. If you want to grow a beard or a goatee, then grow one (if you can). But walking around with a three-day beard just makes you look like a homeless person, ESPECIALLY when your beard is gray. Is this the look you are hoping for? My first thought is, "No, I don't have any spare change!"
