Lucy Thomas vs Jackie Evancho

I will post videos of the same song by both singers. Lucy Thomas sings solo. Jackie Evancho sings the song with a male singer Peter Hollens who is excellent.

Who do you like the best of the two women? Lucy is 19 and now Jackie is 23. Jackie was on America's got talent. Jackie sang at the Trump inauguration.

Jackie:

I never heard Lucy before. Beautiful voice. But her voice on too many of the videos is way over produced

I started paying a bit more attention to Lucy Thomas after reading a recommendation about her music (right here at USMB).

She does a rendition of “One Moment In Time” where she sings a phrase of the lyrics three times. The first time: no warble. The second and third time, a warble or trill or whatever the correct terminology is. And it is beautiful.

Catch it when she sings “when all of my dreams are a heartbeat away.”

The link is a portion of the song that I don't think contains what you are referring to. She has great vocal control and part of that is controlling vibrato.

Thanks to those who pulled up this ancient topic to comment in more depth. I happen to love listening to both singers, to wit both Jackie Evancho and Lucy Thomas from England.
