There is no justifiable reason that I can think of for this type of behavior yet the prospective of losing money placed irrationally on a ball game (as a money generating scheme) at least makes sense from one prospective.

After all, it's JUST a ball game but betting money that one doesn't have to lose makes it into something else entirely especially if it causes the loser "fan" to threaten to kill the ball player's children.

"I think bringing kids into the equation, threatening to find them or next time they see us in public, they're going to stab my kids to death, it's tough to hear as a dad," he added.
