The rover is the size of a few shoe-boxes, and this must be considered whenever seeing a picture.

If you were the size of a mouse then the smallest boulder would seem to be the size of a large hill.

Thus, this apparently distant dome is probably none-other than a small round rock not much bigger than a person's head.
