Obviously a mob could not gain access to my house by breaking through my front door with amber waterglass protected by wrought aluminum, as the glazed section is only 9 1/2 x 11 inches. It is behind an insulated full glass security door, glazed to protect against a 2 x 4 at 60 mph. But, if a mob was coming through one of my windows (not hurricane glazed, as I cheaped out, though a Pella Rep at the time), I would shoot the first one through, possibly without even a warning, then up to15 more if necessary to stop the breach into my home and protect my wife, myself, our dog and 3 cats. I would be totally justified, meeting such a breach, under castle doctrine in my state, and I am just a retired guy, not in law enforcement. If that was the position he was instructed to defend, not to fall back, I grant him the same rights and justifications, I have. Do our Senators and representatives deserve less protection? If you ever think of breaking through a cop car's window to get at the cop inside, I recommend you reconsider, as the policeman will shoot you, rather than be dragged out for mob ass whipping. That woman undoubtedly saved a lot of lives. If the mob continued trying to climb through to his position, he would have continued to drop them until they stopped their attack through the window, or expiration of ammunition, whichever came first. Personally, I carry 15+1, with 2 ea. spare 15 rnd fully loaded magazines (Federal Premium law enforcement/personal defense) in my shoulder holster. Never bring a broken chair to a gunfight.
