A Democrat leaving a red state. Oh darn.

Dwyane Wade is one of the most iconic athletes in Florida sports history.

That being said, even his Miami Heat superstardom couldn't protect his family against some of the state's more conservative-leaning policies.

“My family would not be accepted or feel comfortable there. And so that's one of the reasons why I don't live there," Wade said in a recent interview with People.

Other legendary athletes have made the move in the opposite direction. Hulk Hogan moved from the birthplace in Venice Beach , California to Clearwater, brother, because of the extremism on the west coast.

And I bet you wonder why the MAGA party doesn't win the African American vote.
If Wade lived in the area there are heavily Progressive Socialist counties in South Florida. It is possible the minorities down there messed with his child.

Mickey Mantle is legendary .. Nolan Ryan is legendary .. Johnny Unitas is legendary. I don't even follow sports and I know these names. Who the hell is Dwyane Wade? and who cares?

Just because you are an old fart does not mean Wade is not legendary, especially in South Florida.
