The German Nazi Party was the National Socialist German workers Party. When Hitler won elections, he received a congratulatory letter from Stalin, as he saw Hitler as a Marxist ally. His party which was socialist in principle, took control of the means of production. What Stalin and others didn't realize was that Hitler was a massive egotistical racist with world domination in his mind. He surrounded himself with likeminded racist egoists. They donned uniforms as they controlled the military and focused everything on rebuilding the military which had been beaten in World War I.
They also needed a scapegoat for people to blame for their era of depression, which was actually caused by the disastrous Treaty of Versailles. Thus, they primarily focused the blame on the Jewish community and stressed the perfection and superiority of the Aryan race and also victimized the mentally deficient and other minorities like the Roma (Gypsies).
At the end of World War II, when the monstrosity of their actions was discovered, a socialist university professor (name lost to history), was horrified at what Hitlers socialist government had done, sought to distance socialism from the horrors and wrote that a definition of Nazis be declared as "right wing" rather than left wing, submitting it for entry in dictionaries. Fellow socialist professors joined with him in demanding the Nazi Party be declared right wing and thus, this definition was what was entered into our world's dictionaries and encyclopedias.
Technically, it doesn't hold up. The policies were clearly socialist in their scope. The only difference was that the government donned uniforms.

Big governmental control over everyone's lives was but one aspect. To be a true believer you had to believe that the Jewish weren't really human, but subhuman, as were the Roma and the mentally handicapped absolutely had to be put into extermination work camps and those that weren't able to be starving slave labor, were the first to be exterminated. All really young children were taken away and killed while others were experimented on in horrendous manners and eventually died. All the weak men, women and children were either gassed or baked. Others were crammed into railroad cars and died of either starvation or suffocation. That was the horror of actual Nazism. So you fools that toss the word Nazi around at either the right or the left are ignorant on the matter. The only actual Nazis around in this era are the Skinheads and Aryan Brotherhood. That's it. The leftists in the US are Marxist, more aligned with Stalin. Those on the right, well, they would prefer a smaller government with the states taking up much of the issues.

The word "Nazi" was invented by the USA & UK propaganda gurus to justify mass murder of German People as well as Talmudists working at industrial sites.
So much was destroyed by mass fire bombing of cities, warehouses, rail roads, bridges etc. caused many people trapped in rubble to be burned alive. Many suffered later from starvation wherever the mass fire bombing had destroyed so much and killed so many.
The word Holocaust appeared in the 1609 Catholic Duoay Bible, and meant burnt offerings like barBeques of Your own sheep etc.. Thus, the fire bombings of Germany by Germanic UK & USA were deliberate slaughters carried out against their own relatives. Thus, it was USA & UK that did the Holocausts.
Almost all churches in USA are Talmudic and have encouraged and supported mass slaughters for about 300 years.
Thus the "Jews" who died from USA/UK's bombing of Germany were holocausts too.

Socialist/Communist parties have no problem exterminating mass numbers of their own people to ensure allegiance and conformity.
As to the large numbers of death in areas like Dresden, Germany during WWII, newsflash, there were no drones, no smart bombs and no guided weapons of any sort. Carpet bombing was the method of destroying factory areas. Dresden was a major manufacturing city, providing munitions and other ordnance for the enemy. Only carpet bombing ensured the end of its munitions factories and when all the utility services are destroyed along with the ability to move food to civilians in war, people go hungry and depending upon the weather, can die of the heat or the cold.
You can look all the way back into antiquity and will find that there is no war in the past in which large numbers of civilians haven't died.
