I don't blame you for being naive. Take it from someone who has both a respect for their society, culture and ambitions and a really strong interest in learning about governments and systems. What the CCP has achieved is in such a short period of time is unmatched in history.
They focused heavily on the U.S but also all of the West. Politicians in every country, promoting open borders and mass illegal migration to Europe and America, funneling poisons into nations, surveillance chips in EVs; chips placed in cranes on your docks that collect information about import/exports, stealing cutting edge technology, using students to aggressively spy on and recruit spies, using citizens in rowboats to challenge states on the waters, cutting internet cables of the Taiwanese, kill switches implanted in your solar panels, hacking of your entire phone networks.
I could continue for another five minutes and that's just from what is well disseminated.
You need to be alert, this isn't fear mongering, these aren't the actions of a friendly nation motivated to just get along. They see America as the ONLY nation between them and global dominance and they intend to cripple you.
This is why as much as most of us don't want war, if Russia attacks a nation that nation deserves ALL of the Wests support. At least it weakens Chinas most formidable ally though peace is preferable at this point.
I'm a fairly peaceful guy, relaxed, cerebral but under the right conditions extremely pragmatic. I prefer life and the light over death and darkness.
There are some really powerful actors trying to usurp America and they influenced your allies to hurt you as well unfortunately.
