Lawyer Handling Lawsuit Quits,,,what Now?

Even hacks don't want to back a loser like this fake lawsuit and the fake impeachment.

Poor pubs and poor little RWs - They were so hoping lies would be enough.

Lol, how embarrassing. Poor Boehner.

How long before the RWs start some new lies about this?

We should have a contest, a pool.

:woohoo:

surely there's a liberty university grad out there that isn't concerned with their good reputation. i mean they went to liberty university, it'd be foolish of them to think they had one to damage.

I agree with the premise of your thread, but your source is a hack website. Just sayin'.

it quotes a new york times piece, but yeah, always better to go direct to the original source.

Aside from the quotes from the NYT, it is somebody writing about how much they agree, and how terrible Boehner is. The original source definitely would have lent more credibility to the OP. :D

additionally to be fair, the quoted piece doesn't say he dropped the case because he felt it was without merit - however i don't think that lawyers believe taking on a winner to be generally harmful to one's credibility.

I don't think a lawsuit was ever intended. It was just fodder for the Republicans' base to rile them up to vote in November by making them think something will happen.

“The lawyer, David B. Rivkin Jr., had taken the case on behalf of House Republicans in August, right after they voted to sue the president, accusing him of overstepping the powers of the presidency. Two people with knowledge of the situation said Mr. Rivkin withdrew from the case under pressure after facing criticism that he had taken on an overly partisan lawsuit. Some members of the firm feared the case against Mr. Obama could drive off potential clients and hurt Baker Hostetler’s credibility, according to one of the people with knowledge of the case. Both people said they were prohibited from publicly discussing such a delicate case.”

No kidding.

Fortunately for Boehner and his fellow republicans this isn't an issue, given the fact they're completely devoid of credibility.
