Surprisingly Rand Paul is a chief opposer and he says so specifically because the candidate is staunchly pro labor. I find this fascinating to see this side of Paul. Didn't know he had it. I usually see him as centrist but apparently not.

A Hispanic woman who is very popular with the Democrats and expected to get big support from the Senate Dems? Is there a race card to play here? Or are we looking at the greatest deal maker of the century in action?

If Paul was the 50th vote, he would be there with his vote.

A Labor Secretary which is pro-labor? Didn't Trump work out a deal with the democrats to give them some action they could agree with in exchange for their willingness to work more with the republicans to pass his agenda too? Could this be part of that agreement, the art of the deal?

Yeah.... I mean it works! The person who surprises me is Rand Paul at this point.

Rand's mind works differently than most in the Senate....In a good way.

I'd go as far to say that he is the only honest broker in the US Senate.

Yes I absolutely believe everything he says even if I don't agree with it.

Jesus ****, doesn't anybody here understand the issue? Being PRO-LABOR is not the same as being PRO-UNION. The big unions invariably support Democrats, the workers - union member or not - decide for themselves, and generally supported Trump this time.
