LA Times owner regrets endorsing Karen Bass for mayor: ‘Competence matters’

Her actions have shown otherwise.
Yeah according to the disinformation you gladly read.

Nobody is saying anything about the suburbs burnt up by the fire, all who had their separate governments with mayors and fire departments. That's because the mayors are white. So given the fact that the LAFD actually increased its funding and that the state has had a long-time water problem and the hydrants ran out of water due to that, talking about Karen Bass is only being done for one reason. Also, the Santa Anas that are helping to spread the fires are something that Bass couldn't stop.

Unless Bass is God, and if Bass was God, we would have already experienced judgment day and such fires wouldn't be going on.

I DGAF who Pat Soon Shiong is. You are the one talking about it, and you are the white racist who doesn't point out that fires burnt up towns around LA with white mayors and fired departments. This is nothing more than right-wing race baiting.

It's leftist-baiting. You people suck at everything. White leftists are the worst, and they hate you more than anyone else.

DEI. Or so many other names of ineptitude. All the money out into agendas with many failures. While infrastructure was neglected. 130 billion dollars for a mag lev train that will not be efficient due to its course. Conquer nature and also work with it.

Proper management from Bass and Nooscum could have mitigated the damages from the fires.

Water management, proper controlled burns, proper funding of the fire dept, and recruitment policies.

IM2, you just need to step out of that padded box and look at the real world as it is, not as you think it is. :eusa_whistle:

DEI and climate policy has led to the extent of this amount of destruction, for sure. :clap2:

It IS too late for the Times. They knew who and what she was before the election. She advocated for marxism.

Wow. I knew she had visited Cuba, but I had not idea she was willing to resort to violence and destruction to accomplish this agenda.

Could it be that it has nothing to do with racism, but the fact that Bass is a marxist?
Or perhaps she hasn't solved any of LA's problems?

No, that is the modus operandi here.

IM2 is also a marxist, and I'm pretty sure, many of these folks think violence and destruction to achieve their goals is just fine. As long as they don't get caught.

In their world, problems with administration of the system stem not from incompetence, but from the very organization of corporate and political institutions.

In fact, if you disagree with Marxism, in their world. . . that makes you a racist, sexist & a homophobe.

Better late than never?
I like this line: "Soon-Shiong called out "professional politicians" whose only job is to run for office."

I have noticed in the past 6 months or so, traditional leftist news agencies like the LA Times, and in the Washington Post, releasing the horrors created by the demafacsit endorcements.

15th post
"Former Barack Obama spokesman and "Pod Save America" podcast co-host, Tommy Vietor, called out Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for being overseas while wildfires have been decimating her city.

Vietor replied to a social media post critical of Bass on Wednesday, noting he had seen no sufficient excuse or reason why the Democratic mayor hadn't returned from her trip to Ghana by the time he posted.

"Inexplicable decision to not come back earlier," Vietor commented on Vanity Fair reporter Nick Bilton’s recent post."

Bass has shown incompetent leadership during this crisis. Her name is "Mud" in Los Angeles now and that city is hardly a bastion of rightwing conservative. I'm even seeing far left celebrities cursing her online. The only reason you are defending her is because she's a black Democrat.

The LA Times is one of the few Democrat strongholds who has decided to try their best at actually being fair and balanced.

The reason I defend her is because she can't control the wind. The only reason the right has launched this crusade against her is because she's a black Democrat. The owner of the LA Times is a MAGA supporter.

Then there is this:
