Well ... it's been fun, Xbox. But I suppose all good things must end.

I've owned the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and, most recently and currently, the Xbox Series X gaming systems. I still own all but the 360 which I gave to my stepson years ago. I am just shy of a gamer score of 250,000.

I was recently playing Fallout 4 and had reached level 240 and had more than 3 million caps. I went to log into the game and it wouldn't load. I tried everything (moving it to another memory device; uninstalling/re-installing; etc.) but to no avail. At the same time that game decided to kill itself, Oblivion Remastered came out so I've been playing that ever since. Until today, that is.

I was on my way to an Oblivion gate that was threatening Anvil when the game went blank and sent me to my home screen. This has happened a few times so I went to log back in to continue playing (I am level 32 and am a fairly powerful Dark Elf). Anyway, Microsoft/Xbox decided to require my Microsoft password to log back in. This is a first and has never happened before. So I entered my current Microsoft password but got a message that it was "invalid." So I tried a few other passwords that I've used in the past. Nothing worked.

So it appears that all my experience with Xbox/Microsoft has reached its end. If you've ever experience something similar, please let me know.

So I guess I'm going to buy a PlayStation. Amazon offers a discount on the PlayStation if I'm willing to trade in my current system. I can get $220.00 for my Xbox Series X. Of course, I'll be taking a loss but better than owning an Xbox boat anchor just sitting there collecting dust. The most unfortunate thing is that Oblivion isn't available for PlayStation at this time (maybe it will be available in the future).

Does anyone have some good games they would recommend for PlayStation? I'm a huge Bethesda fan but they lean towards Xbox over other platforms. I'm really disappointed and a little pissed but there's nothing I can do about it.

Ideas? Advice? Personal experiences?

Play fortnite instead.

It will take as much time to learn how to play fortnite as it will to learn a new system...and cost you nothing because fortnite is free to play.

Do they have anyway to contact them and find out what the problem is? A number, help desk, e-mail?

Sorry- I know nothing about x-box.

Good luck, though.

I can't get into to Xbox platform without a password and my current password has been rejected. So I can't play any games related to Xbox.

See what that means. 😆
And do watch all the memes that come thereafter.
Did you save your Fallout save? Or no? Are you still on the same Operating System install?
Uhh, I might could help you find that and Idk about rolling back your game and all that to unfucked, but OK.
You could install Fallout again all the way you until had it and before it was fucked and all that and then load your save, probably.
What were you playing Fallout on? XBOX? Ay. Oo, that's not an easy one for me.

You might have to check if it's a change in your Microsoft password.
XBOX and Microsoft are tied together.
Every time I update my Microsoft password, it kicks me off of XBOX Game Pass.
Sometimes it might be because of non-payment.

As for Fallout, it wasn't that my last save wouldn't load. It was that the game, itself, wouldn't load. I would try to load it but was sent to my home page over and over again. So I uninstalled the game and reloaded the game. That has worked in the past but didn't work this time.

But now I can't even enter the Xbox platform. I've just been messing around on the Microsoft site and was able to recover access to my "Live.com" email and I changed me password in the process. I'll see if that helps me get back into Xbox. I have my doubts.

Hey!!! I'm back in. Not sure what happened but it looks like I solved my own problem. I guess I'm not as dumb as I look.

Disregard the above. It looked like I was back in but was rejected again. I truly am as dumb as I look. :(

I don't play Fallout....but a lot of times when fortnite does a major update I have to reboot it and do a complete update.

Anytime you want to waste your life, it's there.
I actually thought about building a Super Skycraper at the drive-in on that thing today.
3 stories of super-auto-turrets with double mutant encounters n stuff and dead come back as zombies! Total mayhem. 😆
That game I like. The total thing would be many more than 3 stories. 17 at least, swanky bedrooms, pools, tennis courts.
3 stories full of auto-turret perimeter defense from floors 2-5 though. Oh yeah! :D
Meanwhile the settlers will be farming and sleeping and cooking and selling things and going after invaders and others coming to the settlements n stuff.
Ya know, that actually requires too much for an XBOX.
