Kamala's Dad is JAMAICAN AFRICAN and not AFRICAN AMERICAN. Period. Full Stop. End of Story.

It’s not. Just an observation on the side that is all about race and identity politics.
We only have two choices TRUMP and NOT TRUMP.

Many are attributing some nefarious plot to electing Harris when a huge portion of the population would vote for just about anyone instead of Trump.

Really that's the bottom line.

We have two choices…. Trump or Obama Proxy. We had 12 years of Obama already. I want lower inflation, less dependency on foreign oil, and no class warfare as the basis for a strong economy. We’ve tried all that. It doesn’t work.

Trump comes with too much baggage. Anything good that could come of him becoming president again is overshadowed by all of crap that he brings to EVERYTHING, at least from my perspective.

I don’t deny his baggage but Democrats are going to need more than Trump hatred and their manufactured fear, uncertainty, and doubt to win this election with Harris.

Beautiful Tamil roots.

She should be proud of her roots, not try to hide them.

HATEFUL PEOPLE LIKE YOU

fyi:
Facts First: Trump’s claims are false. Harris did not “all of a sudden” begin identifying as Black. She has embraced and discussed her Black identity for decades, beginning long before she became a political candidate, while also honoring her South Asian heritage.

Harris graduated in 1986 from Howard University, a historically Black institution where she was a member of a historically Black sorority. After that, she was elected president of the association of Black law students in her second year at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, she wrote in her 2019 memoir.

Politico reported in 2021 that, as a third-year student at the law school in 1989, Harris rose to speak against anti-Black racism at a campus demonstration prompted by the discovery of racist vandalism. Politico reported: “For Black students, she said, according to archives of the Hastings Law News, the cartoon was an example of ‘what we deal with all the time.’”

A profile of Harris in the publication AsianWeek in 2003, when she was running for San Francisco district attorney, was focused on her South Asian heritage. But it quoted Harris discussing her father as “a Black man” and saying, “I grew up with a strong Indian culture, and I was raised in a Black community. All my friends were Black and we got together and cooked Indian food and painted henna on our hands, and I never felt uncomfortable with my cultural background.”

Blacks identified with a southern whiteboy who played the saxophone on late night tv. They can definitely identify with whoever they want. In this case, they are identifying with a woman who always identified as Indian/South Asian, married a Jew, and had a father that came from a family of Jamaican slave owners and traders.
Republicans were caught off guard when Biden dropped out of the race and even more so with Harris stepped in. Their claim that Biden is demented and too old for office is causing voter to see Trump as the old man in race.

Republicans were celebrating polls showing Biden had lost favor with many Blacks and then Harris takes over and the lose of black voters disappears. And the fact that democrats have a black woman candidate is an even bigger problem for republicans since black women voters significantly out number the men.

An what is the republican reaction? White republicans telling Black voters that the black democrat candidate is not black. That is not only insulting but crazy.

What empirical data do you have to show “the loss of Black voters disappears”?

Why would you assume, erroneously by the way, that Vice President Harris has "ZERO TIES to the African American heritage of slavery, Jim Crow, Segregation, etc.".

Black people in America have no choice in how we are perceived and subsequently treated. For you to make the false statement based on ignorant assumptions that Harris as a Black woman was somehow given a pass is pretty astounding although not surprising considering who you are.

When the Black members of this message board have relayed to you our experiences, you didn't just downplay them you basically called us liars. NONE of us have any reason to lie or exaggerate about something that is simply a fact of life for us.

I understand she's not your candidate but that doesn't excuse the vitriol, racism and misogynism thrown her way, day after day. Nor does the fact that she's a politician.
Racial minorities tend to support each other at the polls because they can relate to issues involving discrimination. Thus Hispanic and Black voters have similar voting patterns.

Hispanics are small business owners, pro-life, and by and large, are not on board with the green economy that is currently not benefiting anyone except the cronies of the liberal elite. Also, ask Latinos how they feel about high grocery and gas prices.

Are you Latino?

In the US Race is a person's self-identification with one or more social groups. On census surveys, an individual can report as White, Black or African American, Asian, American Indian and Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander, or some other race. Additionally, respondents may report multiple races or they can report no racial identity.

In other word, if a person can call themselves African America then that's what they are, regardless of their racial descent. Furthermore a person may change their declaration of race. Adopted children will often claim the race of parents.

She's about as African American as Donald Trump.

As are likely around 99% of blacks in America.

For reference, this is a legit African-American...

Uh, no, think about what you are saying. So they have only one black ancestor for every 99 white ancestors? Don't say dumb shit.

It's true.

American blacks, almost universally, have more in common with Cletus down in Arkansas than they do with an actual African.

Unless they have dual citizenship.

Then they can be recognized as African-American.

As an aside, have you ever read/heard true African-Americans share their views about American blacks?

They aren't very approving, let's put it that way.

Sometimes I think they care more about insulting people than they do winning elections. The point is the fight. If you win? Great. If you lose? They cheated.

That's about as far from true as anything you could say.

You honestly think 99% of African Americans have about as much African ancestry as Donald Trump does?

I just want to be clear, here. I must be misunderstanding you. You are not this dense.

EDIT: I see what you mean

African-American is a citizenship status. It's pretty simple.

Haha, okay. I see the commonality. Funny, the liberal rural peope can say the same thing with both groups.

As for your last sentence... thanks for giving us your personal policy. I don't think it's going to get very far. But you can call anyone anything you want.

As an aside, have you ever read/heard true African-Americans share their views about American blacks?
Sorry, you lose me at anecdote story time. I am however aware that these videos are cherry picked and passed around for a reason. You should ask yourself what that reason is.
