Several of Biden's internal polls showed Trump gaining at least 400 electoral votes against Biden. So, the fact that Trump only won 312 - 226 was an overwhelming success for Democrats. I wonder Democrats see it like that.

If they do that would be really dumb. Biden was going to lose by that margin because of the debate performance where it was obvious to everyone that Joe was severely diminished. Harris was a terrible candidate; it's why she lost and that's the takeaway the D's should take from this election.

Keeping that weasel Schumer from being able to control the Senate was a success for everyone. As for what happens with democrats remains to be seen, The leadership will try to go even further left, but there is an opportunity for a resurgence of Blue Dogs in a lot of Congressional Districts that could make them competitive again. We'll see.

Yeah, I've been reading a few things recently where democrats seem to think they lost because Harris wasn't anti-Israel enough.

TBH I know very little of where she stood on anything. She did a horrible job of laying out any specific policy positions. Republicans can get away with that because they are the party of no---just stopping the dems is good enough for huge chunk of their supporters. The democrats, on the other hand, really need to lead with good policy ideas to bring in independents. She didn't. She just ran with a Nazi/fascists name-calling strategy intended to jazz up the base.

I remember Blue Dogs.

Thing is when they get with leftist dems they vote right with them so they don't get primiried....More like gun-shy dogs.....Warner (D-VA) is a perfect example of that.

Warner was a good governor for all Virginians but has voted lock-step with the leftists in the Senate.

Dems lost this election because the voting public has clearly seen, and suffered from, the shitty shitty policies and ideas they espouse

It really is that simple.

lol. What did the Democrats run on in 2020? No to Trump. That was the entire campaign.

He wanted to make Roe V, Wade federal law, supported legalizing weed, wanted to end the death penalty, supported the Paris Agreement/green energy transition, free pre-k, free two year community college degrees, and wanted to subsidize rural healthcare so those communities stopped losing their hospitals. He had an actual platform of specific ideas unlike Harris who talked about an undefined opportunity economy Cackle Cackle including the opportunity to defeat them evil Nazi fascists snort.

I hafta laugh at this, it's like when your football loses 51-7 and you tell everybody it was okay cuz it coulda been worse. I think the democrats were gonna lose to Trump no matter who they nominated, Biden woulda lost too. Their problem was and is that they didn't have a viable presidential person and frankly their agenda totally sucks. And their methods and policies suck too, for the most part. IMHO, the Biden administration did not exactly distinguish itself during their 4 years; I could be wrong but my feeling is that they wanted to appease too many factions in their own party at the expense of expertise and wisdom. The people they selected were not based on merit but on identity politics and that bit them in the ass. When you announce that you want a black female LGBT person for a senior position, that does not play well in Peoria. And too often they relied on polling within their own political base to guide their policy decisions, and sometimes it cost them support among independents. One wonders if Trump and the GOP will make the same mistake.

Leopards can't change their spots. Over the years democrats have been trying to please everyone, except for the MAGA crowd. They are for the poor. They are for the rich. They are for unwavering support for Israel while also being for unwavering support for the Palestinians. They are for a closed border while being for open borders. They cozy up to most everyone so much it pisses most everyone off. The only stand they take on everything is sitting on the fence. They will apologize to anyone and everyone if they even offend one person, except, again, to the MAGA crowd. It's nauseating and people are throwing up.

I have said for many a year that both sides make a huge mistake in thinking that you win elections by turning out your base more than the the other side turns out their base. It is independents who decide elections so that is the base you need to turn out. Kamala Harris totally ignored Independents and instead used Liz Cheney to try turning out Republicans to vote for Harris when Cheney couldn't even turn out Republicans to vote for her.

Don't count the corrupt, evil Left out just yet.
I have ZERO doubt DJT has not seen the last attempt on his life.
Those people are evil beyond belief.
They have 4 long, long years to figure out a way to try and destroy Trump again.

One thing is for sure, if the DNC wins the House there will be more impeachments and stupidity.

? If he wanted to a national law on abortion why don't we have one? The Democrats held both houses of Congress and the Presidency? What stopped him? The onus to pass that law didnt happen once R v W was overturned? Do you want to list all things in Trumps platform? Every politician has a list of "things" but the primary thing the Biden campaigned ran on was just not being Trump. A return to normalcy, the adults back in the room. etc. etc. It was effective and why he won. The problem it that's not what happened and one of the reasons Kamala who couldnt extricate herself from Biden lost.

Yeah, it had a whole lot to do with Americans not being able to afford to live anymore while dealing with high crime, democrats repeatedly explaining to these same people how great the economy is, and Harris saying she wouldn't do anything any differently than Biden would have done.

They have also attacked Trump for years about demanding loyalty from his people and yet democrats willingly gave their loyalty to Biden, covering up his mental and physical conidtion, and being so loyal to Biden that they said they wouldn't do anything any differently than Biden did because they refused to throw Biden under the bus. Even when they finally forced Biden away from the nomination they covered it up by claiming that Biden put country over party in a totally selfless act.
