Didn't Nike do a whole ad campaign about this sort of thing something about "only in sports".

But, it is not all that uncommon. My FIL was a huge Michigan fan and my MIL an OSU fan, married for 40 plus years and on game day they both would wear their teams attire. It was so cute.

My wife was a UGA fan when we got married, I am a Gator fan.
