It features John Wayne, Bruce Dern and Roscoe Lee Browne. It's an enjoyable western and definitely worth watching if you haven't seen it.

Situations in the old west where school kids had to be pulled from classes to work on the ranch, actually do a trail drive, or work on the farm did occur. Accidents along trail drives which killed individuals were also real. So, in a sense it was fairly accurate.
