It's a very funny parody of just about anything you can think of. The highlight of the movie is the parody of martial arts movies, "A Fistful of Yen". This one is hilarious throughout, a bit tasteless at times but definitely worth watching.

It's from the 80s. No way it could even be made today.

When I was in my 20s, I thought this movie was absolutely hysterical.

I watched it again and realized how much my sense of humor had matured. Most of the jokes are childish, and borderline racist.

I think it's more of a case of "Why should it be made today"?

Comedy tends to be very much a product of its time.

Duck Soup was a sendup of rising Fascism in Europe, but it would be lost on a modern audience.

Blazing Saddles was funny at the time because Westerns were still a thing (although they were fading as a genre). The humor was putting a black sheriff in the traditionally white role.
