Just finished watching a fantastic film, Odd Thomas............

Just finished watching... Broke.... a movie about a rodeo rider... pretty good....

It's based on a novel by Dean Koontz and features Willem Dafoe as a police chief. This film is definitely worth watching.

I saw that and really enjoyed it. Koontz wrote a whole series around Odd and I read 'em all.

In the late 90s there was a tv miniseries based on the Koontz book ‘Intensity’.

Very good. It had John C. McGinley from scrubs as a serial killer and a cat and mouse thriller as one of his victims who escaped (a woman) sneaks into his house.

Very good for a tv mini series

I love them both, but think King is a better writer.
Oh I still love King's work and certainly the fact that so many of his novels have been made into movies or TV series, "The Stand" readily comes to mind, but Koontz writing, at least for me, contained so many nuggets of truth about things we just didn't yet have full knowledge of, that at times it didn't exactly feel like fiction. It's not easy to explain but if you're curious a few of his novels that convey this sense are "Dark Rivers of the Heart", "Sole Survivor" and "Seize The Night".

I thoroughly enjoy watch the movie versions of King's novels, but when I want to settle down with a good book that will take me away, I probably still prefer Koontz, although I haven't had time to read strictly for pleasure since I don't know when.
