A parent banned from the Bow school grounds for protesting a transgender student athlete will be allowed back but won't be allowed to continue to protest, a federal judge ruled Tuesday.

That noted, arm bands seem to be a pretty mild form of protest. Courts have routinely ruled against the 1st amendment in schools to maintain a learning environment but unless there was a large disruption, I would allow the arm bands as long as it went no further.

There has to be more to the story. Wearing an arm band is no different compared to people wearing ribbons on their clothes to acknowledge things like aids and breast cancer awareness.
