Andy Ngo is a journalist who writes for National Review, Spectator USA and Quillette. Among other things, he has documented violence perpetrated by the fascist group Antifa. Yesterday Ngo was covering an Antifa demonstration in Portland when he was set upon and beaten up by around 20 masked thugs.
Toby Young has the story: In the attack, Andy received cuts and bruises to his face and head, including a torn earlobe, and had thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment smashed or stolen. He was taken to the local hospital, where it was discovered he had a small bleed to his brain and, as a result, he was kept in overnight.

There are quite a few threads on Twitchy about this situation. It's chilling. The last thing we should do is allow the Democrat Party to distance themselves from #Antifa. I remember well how long it took for even one of them in Congress to make a point about it and that was when it started to backfire. as far as I am concerned Antifa is the violent arm of the Democrat Party they just dress differently from their Ku Klux Klan brothers while still maintaining their masks. One gets the impression that Antifa rules Portland with the same impunity that Ku Klux Klan Democrats ruled Birmingham in the 1960s. Do they actually have police in Portland? Do they have functioning government there?
Mike Bray recently said on C-Span: "Antifa is nothing but a violent, America-hating, Communist terrorist cell infested with nothing but violent cockroaches and vermin, and every single cockroach and vermin in Antifa they've got to be exterminated." Bray's response: "I'm not gonna comment on that one. Let's move on."
Is there any prominent Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrat who has criticized Antifa? I am not aware of any. That would be a good question for the next presidential debate. Worse still, some PMS/DSA Democrats have actually endorsed the fascist group.
Surely reporters like John Hinderaker must be mistaken. Only right-wingers are violent. The media has told us so.
