Best Joker ever! I almost caught myself sympathizing with that crazy ****** in the original Joker movie. The best part was when he capped that POS DeNiro.

I'm pretty sure the "musical" scenes in this movie were just depicting fantasies in his mind.

My cheap ass will probably just watch it five years from now when it's on cable.

Well it’s basically a musical.

When I hear about a movie I want to see, I avoid learning about it as much as I can because I want to go into it blind. So it’s my fault in a way for not knowing what I was paying for. I knew it was going to have some singing in it, but I wasn’t expecting it to have this much. It’s a lot of singing.

Every single time they start up with the singing, it basically puts the plot on pause, and the entire audience groans.

Hmmm. Definitely an odd choice.

I read somewhere that the writers/director deliberately set out to annoy fans of the first film who idolized the Joker character.

It’s definitely creative. I’ll give it that.

I keep hoping that there was something deeper that I didn’t pick up on that will make me re-evaluate the movie in a different way and appreciate. Some abstract metaphor or symbolism.

But no, it’s not there and I think it was just bad. I appreciate the attempt to try something different, but no, this wasn’t for me.

I loved the other Joker film, which is why I was looking forward to this one. This one…waaay different.
