Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) poured gasoline on a fire President Donald Trump is trying to put out on Tuesday, telling Benny Johnson that Attorney General Pam Bondi “needs to come forward” and explain her statements about the Jeffrey Epstein case.

i expect Mike will get a call from the WH, with a not so veiled threat that he may be in danger of losing his seat if he doesn't back off. Donald wants Epstein to go away.

Whatever they put out, the base will most likely not be satisfied with. The damage from the lies and gaslighting has already been done.

They’ll come up with something. The bar is super low.
Yeah. Convincing Magats that a lie is fact is pretty easy. Many still think trump won in 2020. They are pretty gullible.

That election will go into the commonsense archives of how to steal elections. Long for now it will be remembered.

The thing is, she does not have to explain herself to you, or Johnson, or anyone.

The part where the Epstein list went from "on [her] desk" to not existing does need to be explained. Did someone tell her to destroy it or did she make the decision herself?

It does NOT need to be explained. You people act as if they owe you something.

They do not.

The list turned out to be nothing, so nothing was done. That is how it works in the law. Not liberal philosophy, I know.

This is the U.S., not the Soviet Union. Public servants do owe the citizens something and Bondi needs to explain why she destroyed the list.
So go to court.

Even in the US, public officials often don't tell the citizenry anything. Rahm Emanual was grilled over multiple issues and he basically told the country to go **** itself.

Bondi doesn't have to worry about re-election or even being nominated back to AG. I doubt Vance will keep her on.

So, what are you going to do about it, other than whine that you can't get your way?

I'm moving on to more important issues.

A solid articulation of the pedocon position, but it doesn't really change that Bondi and Trump have a lot of 'splaining to do.

She already explained it, she meant the case files, thousands of pages of it not some client list.

When asked specifically about the list, she said it was on her desk.

I understand it's convenient several months later to retcon what she said.

Are you a retard or something? She has already explained that she meant the case files. Christ have a 4th grader explain it to you.
